August Software Release Preview #1

Take a peek at what’s included in our Software Release that is coming your way soon!!

In the upcoming August software release, we will enhance the To Be Ordered (TBO) feature, launch our new Statement Dashboard, and improve the P&L Variance Report Extract.

Additionally, you’ll find a new Document Audit feature and payroll split posting to the General Ledger.

Building on our earlier announcement this week about our new software release schedule and information sharing, this is the first of several posts to highlight what’s new and improved ahead of the release date!

Quick Tip – click on any of our screenshot examples below to zoom in for a closer look!

To Be Ordered (TBO) Function

We are implementing several enhancements to make our popular TBO Function even more user-friendly. See the new updates below.

Staff Number

TBO now only requires a staff number to be entered once.  The staff number is requested when the Create Orders button is used. This also aligns the main menu staff login.

Header collapse and expand

The top filter and loading options can now be collapsed (folded) to give the product details grid more space.

Options and Data Entry Columns

The Data Entry columns, and Show Tallys options have been moved to provide a cleaner interface – these are still available by clicking the gear icon at the top right of the TBO screen.

A new option to control the number of months of sales data that will show in the graph has also been added – this can be 12, 18 or 24 months.

Requisition Filtering

A new filtering option has been added to allow the user to identify and manage any product already in the TBO system for requisition purposes. This filtering option will only appear if a branch has been setup for requisitioning.

Both of these options will obey the Location filter option, this enables you to review TBO data that can be sourced from a warehouse or specified location.

Can be fully requisitioned
This will identify any product in the TBO system that can be fully supplied from another branch

Can be partially requisitioned
This will identify any product in the TBO system that can be partially supplied from another branch

Branch Grid Extended Information

More columns are now available on the branches table to provide better information to make purchasing decisions.

For any store group who are set up for branch requisitions, you can now click the location number field to change the product to requisition from that location.

The locations shown in the branches grid will now obey the system branch filtering logic.

Profit & Loss MTD/YTD Variance Report

This is a new P&L report based on the General Ledger Print Control.

The report will show GL actuals for each account configured in:

  • GL Print Control for MTD
  • Last year MTD
  • MTD variance
  • YTD (up to the selected month) last year YTD and YTD variance.

There are 3 Output Options to choose from with this new P&L Report

  1. Standard Sympac Report
  2. Formatted Excel file
  3. Displayed in a Grid with ability to show GL transactions for an account by clicking on any of the MTD or YTD values.

Take a look at a sample of each of these three reports below.
