NEW General Ledger Courses

We know you’ve been waiting for them, that’s why we are pleased to annouce new General Ledger Courses now available in symlearning!

We recently released our General Ledger Basic Course onto symlearning, and from today our General Ledger Advanced Course and a range of Microlearning lessons are also available, find out more about what is on offer below.

General Ledger Advanced

This course is for the more senior in your finance team, supervisors/managers and store owners. This course picks up where the General Ledger Basic course ends – so you need to take the ‘basic’ course before this one.  

The advanced course takes around 2-3 hours to complete – we have built in lots of lesson review points and breaks along the way!  The lessons are a user friendly mix of learning styles like process flows, interactive screens, instructor led video based learning and more, all designed to keep you engaged as we work through the course.

The Advanced course covers functions such as:

  • Setting up Chart of Accounts and Control Accounts
  • Journal File Maintenance
  • Tills & General Ledger
  • Account Maintenance
  • Opening Balances
  • Date Sensitive Functions
  • Cash Receipts & Payments
  • Banks Reconciliations
  • Balancing Sub Ledgers
  • Payroll, BAS & PAYG
  • Balancing GST, Sales, Stock, Goods, Creditors
  • Detailed Reporting
  • Daily Procedures
  • Processing Procedure

 

Just like all our full courses, it also has a Test Your Knowledge Quiz, a list of resources including reference guides to download, video playlists and other related courses.

General Ledger Basic

This course is an introduction to the General Ledger in Sympac, it takes around an hour to complete. It serves as a basic overview of the function and features like:

  • Foundations of the General Ledger
  • General Ledger Flow
  • Journals
  • Reports
  • Basic Enquiry & Search
 
At the end of the course is a Test Your Knowledge Quiz, a list of resources and other related courses.
