We’ve hit some pretty big numbers since our Sympac eLearning platform, symlearning, launched earlier this year, and I am pleased to report that we just reached another fantastic milestone!
We’re celebrating 4,000 symlearning courses completed to date, and for that we’d like to say a big thank you to all our 450+ symlearners!!
Our symlearners have now completed 1,360 hours of learning, since we first launched, and we have over 70 store groups on the platform. Since launch we’ve also released 27 new courses making a total of 77 courses across 20 learning pathways currently on offer.

During October, not only did we have the pleasure of welcoming the following brand new store groups into the Sympac family, we also welcomed them to symlearning:

New Courses
As part of our comittment to the continued growth and development of our symlearning offering, our team are busy creating quality courses that will enhance your knowledge of the sympac system.
We are also placing a strong focus on microlearning for refresher training and onboarding new team members for our more established sympac stores.
Below you will find information about our two newest course releases – Managing Customer Contracts and Inventory Basic both of which went live today.
The team have a steady release program of additional new courses planned over the next few months, and we will keep you updated as they become live on your symlearning dashboards.
New Team Members
We have also recently welcomed Jessie and Shenali to our Sympac Client Services Team. Jessie brings a wealth of experience in retail management and is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science. Shenali joins us with a strong background in finance and IT support.
We’re sure you will extend a warm welcome to Jessie and Shenali as they assist and support you on your journey with Sympac.

Managing Contracts (#28.0) Course
Customer (or Debtor/Trade Account) Contracts can be set for a range of products that a single or group of customers buy. They are primarily design as a hook to keep customers coming back by offering them a discount on the products that they are most interested in.
There are several different types of contracts that you can set up on the sympac system including Global Contracts.
The course covers the following 5 key aspects:
- Build and maintain a customer contract
- Build and maintain a global contract
- Link contract pricing to a global contract
- Reporting & Price Lists
- Future Contracts
The Managing Contracts course is part of our structured learning that offers symlearners the ability get to know this part of the system at a more advanced level. There are multiple lessons, review points, a variety of different learning styles and the opportunity for certification on completion of the final quiz.
Tip! We also have a Contracts Overview microlearning lesson that you can take as an introduction or a refresher.

Inventory Basic (#16.0) Course
Our Inventory Basic course is another of our structured learning pathways and offers symlearners the opportunity to learn at a more advanced level than our microlearning courses.
If part of your role deals with purchasing, receipting goods, stocktaking, inventory reporting or even inserting/updating product ranges then this is definately the course for you!
After completing this course you will be able to setup a new product file, manage the product file and associated data.
Here are the top 6 functions and features that you will learn about in this course:
- Inventory Grouping Structures – product departments, FLC’s, BIN Locations, Categories and Families
- Maintaining Supplier Information – supplier maintenance, supplier insert/alter/enquiry
