⚠️Super Amounts & STP

Some customers may notice that the Super Amount (SuperAMT) column in their STP (Single Touch Payroll) submissions has been showing $0.00 or missing values for the last 12 months.

A software fix was released this morning (6th July 2026) to correct the reporting, here’s what you need to know and the steps you need to take…

What is missing?

The highlighted SuperAMT column below should contain the employer super contribution amounts being reported through STP. Instead, it has been reporting 0.00, meaning the ATO has not received the Super Amount information as part of the STP submissions.

Example of the affected STP export where the SuperAMT column is reporting 0.00 for all employees.

What does this mean?

This issue affects the SuperAMT value reported through STP only. As a result, the ATO has not received the employer super contribution amounts in the STP reports for the affected period.

What do I need to do?

A software fix was released this morning (6th July 2026) to correct the reporting of the SuperAMT field.

Here are the steps you need to take:

  1. Install the latest software update.
  2. If you have already submitted your Final STP Batch for the financial year, simply send an STP Update Event for that Final Batch.
  3. The Update Event will resend the corrected SuperAMT values to the ATO.
  4. There is no need to reprocess payroll or resend employee payments.

Important

  1. This issue does not affect super payments made through your clearing house (such as Ozedi).
  2. It only affects the Super Amount reported to the ATO via STP.
  3. If your Final STP Batch has not yet been submitted, simply process and submit it after installing the update.
  4. If your Final STP Batch has already been submitted, send an Update Event after installing the update to correct the information held by the ATO.
